Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco

Visit Machu Picchu, one of the world’s ancient wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, set amidst lush tropical jungle. The guided tour follows a scenic uphill path to the upper terraces for the classic panoramic view, then continues through the central sector, Sacred Square, and stone quarries. You will also visit the Sacred Rock, Eastern Qolqas, Water Mirrors, and Pisonay Plaza, gaining insight into the spiritual and architectural significance of the Inca citadel. The route may vary according to ticket availability or physical conditions, and tickets are non-refundable once issued.

Lunch is enjoyed in Aguas Calientes before boarding the Vistadome panoramic train to Ollantaytambo, featuring scenic views, live Andean performances, an alpaca fashion show, and onboard refreshments. Tour the city of Punta Arenas, capital of the Magellan and Chilean Antarctic Region, which was founded in 1848 and is located on the shores of the Strait of Magellan. We will visit its main streets and avenues; the Cerro Mirador from where we will obtain a panoramic view of the city overlooking the Port, the Strait of Magellan and the Tierra del Fuego Island. Continue the tour with a visit to Plaza de Armas; the Municipal Cemetery and finally the Chilean replica of the Nao Victoria, a full-scale construction of Hernando de Magallanes’ ship, a faithful reflection of the Naos of the 16th century.

Begin the excursion by traveling part of the national route No. 3, crossing the valley of the Rio Pipo and the slope of Monte Susana until we reach Austral Fueguino Railway station, one of the sectors where the inmates of the old prison of Ushuaia worked collecting firewood.

You will then have the opportunity to take the tour on the train (ticket included, tourist class) before continuing with our guide to the National Park until we reach the Park Station. Visit the most attractive points of the park and its impressive landscapes, such as Lake Roca and Bahía Lapataia (where National Route 3 ends, part of the Pan-American Route). In each site, we will take short walks to appreciate the different species of the native forest and the fauna that is preserved within the southernmost National Park in Argentina.
