RETREAT GETAWAY TO TARONGA ZOO
Travel from 07 April till 16 December 2026
Make the most of your day by collecting your rental car early. Arrive from 9:30 am onwards. Zoo entry is included with your stay on the day of arrival and the day of check out. If you arrive before your room is ready for check in, the front desk team will be able to hold your luggage and provide you with an entry pass to the Zoo while you wait.
Check-in at the Wildlife Retreat, Taronga is from 2:00 pm onwards.
To drop off luggage, please enter the retreat car park (past the main zoo entrance) from Bradley’s Head Road. Complimentary parking is then available in the main zoo carpark.
Upon arrival and luggage drop off, feel free to explore the grounds during Zoo operating hours (closes at 5:00 pm in Summer, 4:30 pm in winter). A map will be provided at the reception for your convenience.
*Sanctuary tour at the retreat is available between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm (your exact time slot will be advised at check in). This guided tour allows you to get close to Australian animals like bettongs, echidnas, pademelons and wallabies, hear fascinating talks and deepen your connection with Cammeraigal country.
Enjoy your dinner at Me-Gal.

After a night at the retreat, enjoy a buffet breakfast at Me-Gal restaurant. Feel free to continue exploring the Zoo before your check out time.
Make your way back to the Wildlife Retreat, Taronga for check out at 10am.
If you wish to spend more time to explore the Zoo, you are welcome to store your bags with reception and continue your visit.
Depart Taronga Zoo and travel back to Sydney to drop off your car rental.
