Upon arrival at Chengdu Airport or train station, transfer to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free and easy at your own leisure.
Take high-speed rail to Aba Prefecture (2nd class seat). Visit Songpan Ancient City (exterior only), historically a key military outpost and cultural hub along the Tea Horse Road. Then explore Huanglong Scenic Area (includes eco shuttle + uphill cable car): world-famous for its brilliant calcium pools, as well as forests, gorges, snow-capped mountains, and waterfalls — a true paradise on Earth.
Explore the fairyland-like Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area (includes eco shuttle): Visit major sites including Shuzheng Waterfall, Shuzheng Lakes, Nuorilang Waterfall, Mirror Lake, Five-Colored Pond, Five Flower Lake, Long Lake, and more. The “Y”-shaped valley system includes Shuzheng, Rize, and Zechawa valleys, extending over 50 km – an unforgettable, magical experience.
Take the high-speed train back to Chengdu (2nd class), with lunch at your own expense on board. Continue onward to Dujiangyan and visit Guanxian Ancient City, known for its Ming-Qing era architecture and historical landmarks including the Confucius Temple and Qingzhen Mosque.
In the evening, admire the beautifully lit Dujiangyan South Bridge, decorated with painted ceilings and intricate carvings. Stroll along the bustling food street to sample local delicacies, witness the popular “Blue Tears” light show along the river, and enjoy free time exploring the lively pedestrian street.
Visit the Panda Garden, the world’s largest giant panda research base near a World Heritage site. Lunch at the Sichuan Cuisine Museum with unlimited tastings of classic Sichuan snacks. In the afternoon, explore Kuanzhai Alley and Jinli Ancient Street, lined with charming Qing-style architecture, boutiques, teahouses, and eateries – a hotspot for locals and visitors alike. Dinner at your own expense in the local food district.
Transfer to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (TFU) or train station for departure.
