In 2025, the TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS marked a historic milestone by becoming the seventh event of the prestigious Abbott World Marathon Majors. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Sydney’s iconic landmarks, the marathon offers an unparalleled experience, with a course that winds past the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and the city’s stunning coastline and neighbourhoods.
Scheduled for 30 August 2026, the event is expected to welcome elite runners and passionate participants from around the world, celebrating endurance, inclusivity, and the unifying spirit of long-distance running. The TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS delivers a world-class running event, matching the energy and adrenaline of the other six World Marathon Majors.

Day 1: Arrive in Sydney (No meal)
[Friday – 28 August 2026]
Upon arrival in Sydney, transfer to the hotel by seat-in-coach. Hotel check-in is from 3pm onwards. You may make your own way to the race expo to collect your bib and race kit.
Rest of the day is free at leisure.
Explore Sydney at night by the Big Bus Night Tour. Departure is at 6.30pm from Circular Quay.
Experience the magic of Sydney as the city becomes illuminated under the night sky. Hop on for a 1.5 hours panoramic night tour and discover some of the city’s iconic landmarks and enjoy fascinating stories with live commentary from expert tour guide.
Day 2: Sydney (Breakfast)
[Saturday – 29 August 2026]
Enjoy a shake out run prior to your race. Sydney offers many scenic running routes from local neighbourhoods to parks. Rest of the day is free at leisure.
Day 3: TCS Sydney Marathon Presented by ASICS (Breakfast)
[Sunday – 30 August 2026]
After breakfast at your hotel, head to the race start line. Run one of the world’s most scenic marathon courses, taking in some of Sydney’s most beautiful and historic landmarks, including Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
All runners with race bib enjoy free public transportation to & from race precinct.

Experience panoramic 360-degree views of Sydney on this tour to the Summit of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. Feel on top of the world as you gradually ascend the upper arch to the peak of this Australian landmark, guided by your dedicated Climb Leader, your tour guide to the top who will share captivating stories about the Bridge and the stunning harbour skyline.

Day Climb – This Climb departs from morning to late afternoon (after dawn and before twilight).

Twilight Climb – Climbs depart between 2.35pm and 5.55pm (depending on time of the year and demand and to be reconfirmed at time of booking). Take in the magic of Twilight and get the best of both worlds as you soak up the sunset while the moon takes its nightshift.

Get ready for a breathtaking adventure as we take you on a thrilling tour of the Blue Mountains! This all-inclusive experience includes the key experiences, ranging from close contact with Australia’s iconic native animals, the kangaroo and koalas, unique locations for amazing photos of the vast wilderness, relaxing lunch with views of the famous Three Sisters rock formation, and time to immerse yourself in nature with unlimited rides at Scenic World.

Hunter Valley Signature Day Tour (Minimum 6 persons to go) Depart: Between 7.15am-7.45am
Explore the stunning Hunter Valley wine region with a small group in a premium vehicle, tasting some of Australia’s best wine, food, cheese and chocolate. Supporting small local business, you will enjoy three private, educational wine tastings of reds and whites with local experts including shiraz and semillon, the renowned varietals of the Hunter Valley. Enjoy a one course lunch accompanied with a glass of wine, beer or soft drink.
Throughout the tour, you will enjoy paired tastings with local cheese and chocolate, as well as sampling some innovative flavours of local vodka, schnapps, gin and liqueur. Plus we always look for kangaroos for the end of the day photo opportunity!
